The Board of Education in Prospect Park grew this year with the historic swearing in of two outstanding people in Dominican-American Ariosto Rodriguez and Jordanian-American Arwa Ensour.
During the Prospect Park Board of Education meeting on March 16, I had the honor of swearing in two phenomenally qualified board members. Ariosto Rodriguez is a Dominican-American while Arwa Ensour is a Jordanian-American. It is critical that members of our Board of Education understand the needs of our students and that the diversity of our kids is reflected in the board. These two care deeply about our children and I know how hard they will work for our families.
The Board has done a tremendous job putting the education of Prospect Park children first, especially during COVID-19. They have navigated the pandemic masterfully, delivering a safe, hybrid learning environment which ensured that no child would fall behind. I have the utmost confidence that our board will continue to put our children in the best position to succeed.
